Internal Quality Assurance Cell – IQAC

Internal Quality Assurance Cell In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore proposed that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a quality sustenance measure. At Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, IQAC was established on August 23, 2016. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC has become a part of the institution’s system and work towards the realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. As suggested by NAAC, there are a few objectives, strategies, functions benefits of IQAC in the academic institution. All the stakeholders of the college work collectively to realise the objectives, plan and execute the strategies and functions and reap the benefits. Since the first accreditation in October 2017, IQAC has published the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for each subsequent year. AQAR highlights all the activities, quality initiatives and plans that are executed during each academic period. All these editions are available on the college website. It’s a constant endeavour for all of us at BCAS to not only raise the bar of all criterion related to college but also strive to spread the knowledge, share the expertise and multiply the goodwill to all who could be benefitted through all the initiatives undertaken in the college.
