Internal Quality Assurance Cell – IQAC
In pursuance of its action plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore proposed that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a quality sustenance measure.
At Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, the IQAC was established on August 23, 2016. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC has become a part of the institutionās system. It works towards the realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The primary task of the IQAC has been to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. As suggested by NAAC, there are a few objectives, strategies, functions & benefits of IQAC defined in every academic institution. At BCAS, all the stakeholders join hands to realise the objectives, plan and execute different strategies and functions and reap the benefits.
Since the first accreditation in October 2017, IQAC has timely published/submitted the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for each subsequent year. AQAR highlights all the activities, quality initiatives and plans that are executed during the academic period. All the AQARs are available on the college website. It is a constant endeavour for all of us at Bhaskaracharya college to not only raise the bar on all fronts related to collegeās growth but also strive to spread the knowledge, share the expertise and multiply the goodwill to all who could be benefitted through all the initiatives undertaken in the college.
