Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences’ (BCAS) policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our student application BS-APP (BCAS Student App).

    • We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.
    • We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
    • We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.
    • You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
    • Your continued use of BS-APP will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us.

Google Drive API

    • —BS-APP uses the Google Drive API for the following operations:
    • —Creating an initial folder named BCAS Student App
    • —Creating files/folders in the BCAS Student App folder
    • —Listing files and folders in a tree-like navigation
    • —Previewing file content
    • —Displaying file metadata (last modifying user and date/time)
    • —Accessing the users shared folders when required by college administration
    • —Moving files/folders
    • —Sending files/folders to trash
    • —Copying files/folders

Details

    • A BCAS Student App folder is programmatically created upon registration via user interaction to encapsulate the operations performed by BS-APP.

Data stored

    • BCAS Student App folder ID
    • Allows the user to sign in/out while maintaining a reference to their BCAS Student App folder.

Google basic account info

    • BS-APP uses Google basic account info for the following:
    • —Displaying a profile photo
    • — Enable user sessions (signing in/out)
    • — Displaying username
    • — Data stored

Google user ID:

    • Allows the user to sign in/out while maintaining a reference to their BCAS Student App folder.

Google Sheets API

    • BS-APP uses Google Sheets API for the following:
    • —–Write to a Google Sheet

Terms of Service

1. TERMS

    • By accessing BS-APP, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this App.

2. DISCLAIMER

    • The information on BS-APP are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the BS-APP.

3. LIMITATIONS

    • In no event shall Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the information on BS-APP, even if Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences or its representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

4. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

    • The information appearing on BS-APP could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences does not warrant that any of the information on BS-APP are accurate, complete or current. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences may make changes to the information contained on BS-APP at any time without notice. However Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences does not make any commitment to update the information.

5. MODIFICATIONS

    • Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences may revise these terms of service for BS-APP at any time without notice. By using this app you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.

6. GOVERNING LAW

    • These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Delhi, India and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.

7. UN-LAWFUL ACTIVITY :

    • We (Provider) reserve the right to investigate complaints or reported violations of our Terms of Use and to take any action we deem appropriate including but not limited to reporting any suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement officials, regulators, competent authorities or other third parties and disclosing any information necessary or appropriate to such persons or entities relating to user profiles, e-mail addresses, usage history, posted materials, IP addresses and traffic data. It is an offence to knowingly furnish false or misleading information when applying for registration. If a user violates the terms and conditions of use by providing such misleading information, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences reserves the right to deactivate all such user registration and cancel any or all services requested without any notice. Any Garbage / Junk values in profile may lead to Deactivation.

8. USER CREATION :

    • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account. Disclosure of OTP or other validation means send to your registered email and mobile to any other party will be at your own risk, and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account.

9. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION :

    • The Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the relevant Indian laws. You agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these terms shall be filed only in the courts / tribunals and forums exclusively located in Delhi, India only.

10. TERMINATION OF SERVICES :

    • The User agrees that any termination of his access to the service under any provision of this Terms of Use may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that the Provider may immediately deactivate or delete his account and all related information and files, cancel transactions and/or bar any further access to such files or the service.

11. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS OF USE :

    • Provider reserves the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. Updated versions of the Terms of Use will appear on this App and are effective immediately. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the Terms of Use. Continued use of this App after any such changes.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY :

    • PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY, CLAIM, LIABILITY, OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS APP OR ANY INFORMATION, OR OPINIONS APPEARING ON THIS APP, PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER IN ANY WAY DUE TO, RESULTING FROM, OR ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OR ASSIMILATE ANY OF ITS PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES AS AVAILABLE ON THE APP.

13. MODIFICATIONS OF APP :

    • Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the App, including, but not limited to, content, features or hours of availability without any prior notice.

14. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE :

    • IF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN FULL, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE YOUR USE OF THIS APP.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS :

    • Except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use, nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring any license or right, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, under copyright or other intellectual property rights or any other law for time being in force. You agree that the App and its content are protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and other laws, which may belong to respect owners, including the Provider of this App. You agree not to infringe intellectual property rights of any such owners, including the Provider of this App.

16. FREE TO USE :

    • This App is currently free to use App. There are no monetary considerations involved to use any of its webpage(s) and/or links. However, availability of any webpage(s) and/or links is subject to change without notice.
