Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1997 with the vision to impart quality education to undergraduate students and inculcate in them strong theoretical, intellectual and analytical skills that are essential in this ever changing and highly competitive environment. The Department of Computer Science offers a B.Sc. (H) Computer Science course, which focuses on fundamentals of computer programming and develops an approach to software development. It intends to give students a thorough foundation in theory and hands on experience of software development. The Department is spreaded over three spacious air conditioned laboratories having more than hundreds of computers with the facility of IT peripherals such as scanners, projectors and printers. The laboratories are well equipped with several multimedia computers of Pentiumrange loaded with latest software platforms and curriculum recommended software such as C++, Java, SQL server, Ubuntu, etc. The College provides Internet access to faculty and students on their machines through Wi-Fi network and e-Journal facility at various locations in the college. The faculty of the Department actively involves themselves in research and motivates students to do the same. The Department focuses on holistic development of students. The Department also organizes various workshops and seminars on regular basis to make students technologically competent in an ever-growing IT industry.
