The Department of Environmental Science is committed to provide interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of environment, sustainability and their linkage with societal development and focus on sustainable solution for conserving the environment and human health.

The prime aim of the department is to train students with scientific knowledge and technical skills in the field of environment to serve local and national level. The department is committed to create and effectively disseminate fundamental knowledge about the earth, its resources, and the natural processes. The department is currently offering Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC) and different Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) relevant to environment and environmental issues.

The faculty practice novel teaching methods and assess students based on their overall development. Student’s evaluation consists of continuous assessment throughout the semester. The faculty encourages students to take up opportunities in their area of interest, giving equal and special emphasis to each of the various options available to the students.

Department of Environmental Science organizes various educational and outreach activities regularly. The students can also advantage of various associations and organizations which organizes environmental events time to time.
