‘Sukshmjeev’, the departmental society of the Department of Microbiology, organizes various workshops, seminars, and visits to academic institutes and industry. This provides a platform for interaction of students with scientists, teachers, alumni, and industry representatives, and not only helps in exposing them to the cutting-edge technologies available but also leads to their overall development. The department organizes its inter-college annual fest ‘Microquest’ which includes various co-curricular activities conducted by students. Students from the department are also involved in the preparation of wall magazines and the departmental magazine ‘Life under Lens’. Microbiology department has a strong alumni base and organizes their lectures and interaction events which benefit students a lot and particularly help them in choosing their career path after the graduation.
