The college has been consistently collecting data of outgoing students through structured mechanisms such as Google Forms and telephonic interactions. Being primarily a science-oriented institution, the college strongly encourages students to pursue higher education. At the same time, students interested in immediate employment are supported through placement initiatives undertaken by the College Placement Cell as well as the Central Placement Cell of the University of Delhi.
Placement data included in this metric comprises students placed through campus drives, centralized university placement processes, and individual student efforts. In addition, data is also maintained for other students who may be preparing for competitive examinations, pursuing self-employment, or engaged in family businesses.
During the academic year 2023–24, a significant proportion of outgoing students opted for higher education, reflecting the academic inclination of the institution.
- Number of students placed in jobs: 31
- Number of students progressing to higher education: 174
| Details of the Students | 2023–24 |
|---|---|
| Number of students placed in jobs | 31 |
| Number of students progressed to higher education | 174 |
| Total number of students placed and/or progressed to higher education | 205 |
| Number of outgoing students in the year | 399 |
| Remaining students | 194 |
As evident from the data, a substantial proportion of students have chosen to pursue higher education after graduation, which aligns with the academic focus of the college. The number of students securing placements, though comparatively lower, is consistent with the institutional emphasis on advanced studies. The college continues to facilitate both pathways by providing guidance for higher education as well as opportunities for placements.
