Equal Opportunity Cell and Committee for Inclusive Education of the college is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the college community. The cell works towards creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff members, irrespective of their background. The cell organizes various programs and initiatives to raise awareness and address issues related to discrimination and inequality. The cell is responsible for implementing policies and programs that promote equal opportunities for all members of the college community. The cell also provides support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff members who face discrimination or harassment based disability, or any other characteristic.

Equal Opportunity Policy for Persons with Disability

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences follows the guidelines of University of Delhi and the intimation of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, issued from time to time with reference to empowerment of persons with disabilities/differently abled people (PWD). The college ensure maintenance of harmonious work environment so that the PWD enjoy the right to equality, life with dignity and respect for his or her integrity equally with others. In accordance with the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the college strives to provide opportunities and facilities to PWD to participate, perform and excel in their work on an equal basis in everyday life. The college ensures a barrier free environment for easy access by PWD. There is provision of ramps, human assistance, wheelchairs accessibility, web accessibility, parking facility, tactile path and accessible toilets. Appropriate signages are installed in the college premises for easy movement of PWD.

There is a dedicated Nodal Officer of Equal Opportunity Cell, for catering to the needs of PWD in the college. The Equal Opportunity Cell organizes various programmes for creating awareness and sensitizing students towards inclusive society. The college provides reservation in admissions and appointments as per University of Delhi guidelines. Fee concession/waiver with respect to PWD students is also provided by the college as per University of Delhi rules. The college has a streamlined process pertaining to their grievances and its redressal.
