Extension activities play a pivotal role in fostering students’ holistic development and nurturing social consciousness. By engaging in community-focused initiatives, students cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and a deep sense of civic responsibility. Programs such as World AIDS Day awareness campaigns and health counselling sessions empower students with accurate knowledge about HIV/AIDS, debunk misconceptions, and promote preventive measures. These efforts not only help reduce stigma but also encourage open conversations and supportive attitudes. Competitions addressing gender sensitization and environmental issues inspire students to voice their opinions and drive positive change.
The institution encourages active participation of students in outreach and extension activities enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of social challenges, develop empathy, and become proactive change-makers. These experiences foster an appreciation for diversity, challenge stereotypes, and promote advocacy for a more inclusive and equitable society.
Integrating extension activities into the academic curriculum equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the broader world, shaping them into responsible global citizens.
The Committees which play a pivotal role in social outreach are –
